HA!!! Super cool! So those Interstellar Elfin Portals are my model that I based on Dawn of War designs. I modeled them in Rhino (for mac) and put them up on Thingiverse and all of a sudden I'm seeing them printed out and painted online. It's really quite cool to see it happen just like that. I have a 3D printer at home that I use for this type of thing and there is a cool company out there that is doing exactly what is described above:

I will be designing more scenery and selling the designs (if they are of that level) on that site. For now I just keep using thingiverse.


Please post more pics of your makes to thinigiverse so everyone can see what you are doing if you're into that (or here for that matter)

A Seer Council formation is a minimum of 7 models (2 Far Seers and 5 Warlocks), so is not eligible for inclusion. You might be able to put together a Warlock Conclaive and a Farseer or two though.

Good point, so replace my "Seer Council" with Farseer plus 5 Warlock Conclave, or perhaps Eldrad, Farseer, 4 Warlock etc... does the logic still hold up? Because that's a lot of Dakka in your enemy's grill turn 2.

One item I'd like to focus on a bit more is the idea of the number of enemy units your Cloudstrike formation can target.

Falcons = 1 target

3 units inside = 3 tragets

if the units have Psychers = 1 target per unit of Psychers

Therefore if you had Psychers in different units loaded into the falcons you could target even more units.

For example: Cloudstrike formation with a Seer Council, A unit of Fire Dragons with a Farseer, and a unit of Dark Reapers with Maugen Ra (just for fun)
  In the psychic phase; the seer council targets an enemy unit with a nasty offensive AND the Farsser in the Fire Dragon unit targets a different unit
  In the shooting phase; Falcons target an enemy armor squadron or unit, fire dragons and Farseer target a different enemy unit, the Seer Council spears a different unit, and the Dark Reapers target a unit, and Maugen Ra targets another unit (can he still do this? split fire??)
 
This equals 2 different units targeted in the Psychic phase, and 5 units in the shooting phase, for a total of 7 different units targeted in one turn.

Please let me know if I made any mistakes! :D Can the Seer Council target multiple different units in the Psychic Phase? I believe they can bless a friendly, maledict an enemy, and maybe witchfire the same or a third?

As is tradition in GW fashion, they will update rules for models that aren't selling, and re-release them in plastic. What models you ask? Aspects of course! Also, some nifty new Autarch model, and perhaps plastic versions of the older metal models that we love (Phoenix Lords, Eldrad, The Avatar!). I don't see them adding an assault vehicle, that's what Harlequins are for. I don't see them changing the Wave Serpent much, maybe the Falcon a little bit...

True, except for the Solitaire who seems like a great choice for low to medium high strength characters. Add in the blitz move, and on a turn where you might use a nasty warlord trait in concert and you can pull a prestige level surprise out on your foe. Can't wait to see the smiles turn to tears as turn 5 I win (exploding flower, cloud of smoke, rainbow clown wig on your leader antics ensue) unfolds.
What is a good kit out/unit for the Troupe Leader Warlord going to look like? 7 Players with the Troupe Leader, 1 Death Jester, 1 Shadow Seer  in a Raider (maybe 6 players and an archon?)? I'm not experienced with taking DE transports, but that seems like a nice move. Could you do that in the Cast of Players formation?
Perhaps no transport with 11 Players, Troupe Leader, DJ and SS on foot... Infiltrate that unit, seize the initiative, and move up all your supporting cast in transports to form a spear tip into the enemy heart.

Definitely awesome warlord traits. Is the troupe master a good choice for warlord though? He's pretty vulnerable if your troupe is actually going into combat. Thoughts on this?

Well you'll need some units to soften up your targets so the spears can come in and finish the job.  And you'll need some anti armor units. 

Some war walkers with flack missiles for anti air and anti armor.
A crimson hunter maybe too...

Nice fast army here.  Bring an Autarch on a jetbike to lead one of the units, and an exarch with hit and run on at least one other.

That leaves some wave serpents with troops and you have some nasty firepower and mobility.  Perhaps a unit of storm guardians or defenders to hang with the war walkers and keep them safe?

If the Warlocks join the Farseer who is a IC, can the Farseer and his now attached warlocks join the DA?  Can they just rideshare instead of joining?

I had a nice round with 5 Dire Avengers, 1 Farseer, and 5 Warlocks in a Wave serpent.  Definitely rolled well (Invisibility, as well as Horrify and Protect).  No guide, but the combination of Horrify and Psychic Shriek is NASTY and Invisibility (lucky roll for sure) made them not just durable but a persistent threat.  I ended up casting Invisbility on the council one turn and the next turn on my Wraithknight.  Just for laughs!  ;D ;D ;D :P

I really liked the feel of the council rolling with the avengers in the serpent for turn one, then getting out mid field turn two and having their pick of multiple targets.  Horrify and Shriek one unit, the shoot and assault another.  Yes.

It was a 1250 game, so small and quick.  We only played on 4'x4' so that made a difference.

Nasty list.  I think it's great and is actually a good fluff choice because the dragons are all about fire and chance.

What about a War Walker squadron with missile launchers and flak load out.  It's pricey but worthwhile as anti air if you ask me.  Not sure about two missile launchers or just one and a Scatter Laser for other anti infantry uses.  Makes for a very solid anti armor/flyer load out with laser lock.  Or maybe go for two missile launchers each and a Farseer or Spiritseer with them.  That would be a good combo actually... Prescience and Conceal on a Spiritseer with some war walkers.

I think it is some sort of attachment for the Suncannon so maybe it is an aiming or targeting device?

I know the Wraightknight comes with:
1 Suncannon
2 Heavy Wraith Cannon
2 Shiruken Cannon
2 Scatter Laser
2 Star Cannon
and one other assembled smaller heavy weapon.  Part #106 and 107 on step 25 of the instructions

What is that supposed to be?
