Some pics of my Guardians of the Covenant
« on: January 19, 2014, 04:23:33 PM »
Just posted some pics in the gallery of my Guardians of the Covenant, bear in mind the image quality varies as I am just getting used to this camera/camcorder and that the models are all repaints that I did without stripping first.

Comments, critics, thoughts, ideas all welcome

Buy printer decal paper. You have to get the size right of course, but Hobby Lobby sells it. Color printer, and seal the color image after they print so you can cut and use.

dont have a printer, I know, i know, who doesnt have a printer in this day and age right? well I did have a printer and it broke and I have never gotten around to replacing it since i rarely used it to actually print anything.

i know I should attempt to practice more with transfers, im horrible at them, they always end up either torn or wrinkly or cocked somehow. tried following various tutorials, still no luck unless it is a flat surface like a vehicle.

Gloss varnish 1st, put transfer on let dry. Use mocro sol to shrink and dissolve excess transfer. Once that has dried gloss varnish area again. When dry matte coat and it looks natural.

Could always practice free hand work.
Don't try making a unit unkillable. its a waste of time and the dice gods laugh at you for wasting your time. Dedicate a unit to a job and make sure it does it til it's either dead or running.
