I would keep the night spinners because if you come against Tau, they will be wounding Riptides, Broadsides and Stealth Suits on two's. So you don't even have to concentrate the shots, but rather shoot them individually. Granted they will still get their saves but you are pretty much guaranteed to wound.

Another thing, when you do the S9 shot, you only get one template not three. This is because the other two tanks combine their shot with the first.

Three shots str 9. It says that you add one to str and to the shots.

After a few small changes in the list a third shadowseer popped in the game! Check it out.

I am trying to make harlequins work for some time.now. even before the harlequin codex and I have to admit that I'm kinda disappointed that they can't perform in a decent way the thing that they are made for... the close combat because they don't have the vehicle they deserve or they need powers that are not sure or that they die in overwatch and If you finally charge you want only 6' if you are lucky so I  decided to try a shooting list.

CAD
Farseer on jetbike
3x3 jetbikes with scatter laser
1x2 nightspinners
1 falcon with brightlance

Aspects formation
3x5 warp spidrrs with exarchs

Masque detachment
2 death jesters
1 shadowseer with mask
1x4 players + troupe master, 2 caresses + starweaver
1x4 players + troupe master, 2 caresses
1x4 players + troupe master, 2 caresses
1 starweaver
1x2 skyweavers
1 voidweaver, prismatic cannon

That's my list. 2 starweavers with troupes and 1 death jester each. The falcon with the third warlord troupe and the shadowseer. Great movability with spiders and jetbikes, 96 str 6 shoots with 2/3 of them with bladestorm or monofilament. Jesters for the enemy light infantry, 3 str 8 ap 2 shoots for heavy vehicles and the caresses, jetbikes for objective secured, monofilament for high toughness creatures. Flickerjump, mirage launchers and some warp support for defence.

I like it. They will find it hard to prioritize against. What do I take out first. The arty thats pounding me? The 3 warp spiders landing on me (they can be very hard to deal with), The jetbikes sniping away... or the truckload of harlequins that I REALLY dont want to get into contact with... Pity you dont have a autarch to modify your reserve rolls though for the spiders. (All those shots dont mean a lot if they arnt on the table).

What roll does your farseer play? Twin linking the arty? im just wondering?

I deep striked my spiders at my last battle and one unit got lost in the warp... with 3d6+6 movement at the first round I  don't think that I am going to leave them in reserves. My farseer rolls telepathy because of the invisibility, the shrouding, and finally shriek. He killed a dreadknight last time in his first power. The only thing that can't get killed by this list (except flyers...) is a land raider with 14 av so the falcon shoots are there for me to be sure. For everything else the 96 str 6 shoots, the 2 str 8 large blasts and some small blasts from the harlequins are ok I think.

I really want to make the clowns work but it's just too difficult. To field a clown detachment has really high tax and the heavy support is extremely meh. The clowns die too quickly if they do not have Veil of tears. The moment the opponent by fluke managed to bypass the VOT, they are as good as dead. The Solitaire is really hit or miss. Some games I used him, he shines. Some days, he doesn't even manage to do anything. Having to rely on 6s to hit to deal any real damage is quite the bummer.

I don't know... as much as I really want to make them work, it's just too difficult.

I agree with you. It's times that I table my opponent at the third round and times that I want to burn my miniatures... but this happens if you want like me to field an all melee army. If you want to field jetbikes and voidweavers or a shooting army as the above they can work. Mirage launchers are something good to annoy the opponent plus the caress charging to the raider fortress.... my dream...was to field an all harlequin or an all melee army. If this was not my ocd.... I  would field the falcons blade or something like that. The list above is my solution in the middle.

Have you tried using Banshees or an Autarch woth a Banshee mask to deny overwatch? Maybe put the Autarch on a skyrunner and stick him with some shinning spears of skyweavers?l to charge in first?

Banshees won't survive and the autarch if his is alone he is dead, if he join skyweavers you lose the mirage if he joins the harlies they can't run and charge. Ihave tried him many.times.with many different ways.

Why does the unit lose the Mirage launchers if the Autarch joins (Skyweavers)?

The autarch on Jetbike has a 4++ Invulnerable save due to his Powerfield. Furthermore, your saves are taken by the nearest model to the shooter til it is removed... repeat etc.

you can use the mirage only if all the models in the unit have it. If you want to join autarch with skyweavers they can't use it so they roll to 5+. if you have the autarch first then it's useless
