1850 Knights and Friends
« on: September 10, 2014, 11:03:32 AM »
Starting with an Adamantine Lance formation:

Knight Paladin (warlord)
The Black Knight
Knight Errant

---------
Allies:

Kor'Sarro Khan

5x Bikes, 2 Grav Guns, Meltabomb on Sergeant
5x Bikes, 2 Grav Guns,
5x Bikes, 2 Grav Guns (Fast attack)

------

Culexus Assassin (to deal with psychic star units)

1850 on the nose. And a total of 20 models. . .
Everything I have ever told you, even this, is a lie.

You'll suffer from the same drawbacks that any elite, low-model-count list suffers from. There's a local guy planning 3 knights (I don't think the black knight, just three) allied with Grey Knights. He's super low model count too, but at least he's got psykers. /shrug

Do your IKnights get to make a 'scout' move? If so, then that's ridiculously awesome.

No, no scout move.

And yeah, its going to suffer low model count pretty much no matter what I do (and I'm certainly not going to go guard, just to inflate it). Still, Imperial Knights were the highest winning NOVA army for win percentage clocking in at 75%, so low model count can't hurt that bad.

If you can dive deep enough into the numbers, I'd be curious to see how 3 IKnight lists fared compared to 1 IKnight lists. Also curious to see if you remove IKnight on IKnight action what the numbers look like. Not denying that they did well--just wondering about diminishing returns etc.

To be classed IK they have to field at least 3 knights. I wish I had the rest of the numbers, but I do not. As for the IK on IK action, they wouldn't bring down the statistics more than they would help. I do know none of the IK lists made it in the top 8, one army with IK might have, daemons I think.

where are the rules for Black Knight?

EDIT: Ohhhh, OBSIDIAN knight...
Don't try making a unit unkillable. its a waste of time and the dice gods laugh at you for wasting your time. Dedicate a unit to a job and make sure it does it til it's either dead or running.

The rules for the black knight are in a white dwarf.
