1650 KDK Cad + Gorepack

This weekend is our stores first ITC style event. Have two slightly different lists that I am thinking about. I know the are not optimal, but I am going for a list I will enjoy playing rather than just going all out cheese.

List 1:
1649pts
Combined Arms Detachment (Chaos Khorne Daemonkin)

Chaos Lord [Axe of Khorne, Juggernaut of Khorne, Power Fist, Sigil of Corruption, The Blood-forged Armour, Warlord]

+ Troops +
7x Bezerkers, Chaos Rhino
Bezerker Champion [Bolt Pistol, Close Combat Weapon]

8x Bloodletters

+ Heavy Support +

[FW] Chaos Knight Paladin

Major difference are:
HQs: one Tanky/killy Chaos lord, or two "special ability" HQs.
Berzerkers Champ has AP4, one normal one has AP4
Bikers have two melta instead of Flamers.

Alos note that with the change to Beasts are swinging at I1 when charging through terrain, Skull Cannon helps key units.

What is the reason for not taking a slaughtercult?
The free blood tide point per turn is nice boost to your pool.

Not running the Detachment was so that I would be able to take the Lord of War Chaos Knight (which has Blood for the Blood God) and Skull Cannon starting on field.

In the end, I did miss the Bonus Blood Tithe. And the Knight was destroyed within 2 turns, 2 out of 3 games, and never got his points back. The out of town players that came in for the event were over ready for Knight destroying.

Everything else got shot off the table before they could make an impact on the game.

This list ended up being a case of "what I want to play" instead of "what I can play that will win"

Edit: Also, someone within the group suggested that MSU and Objective secured were better for the ITC format, in my case, they were not.
