Personally I find my transports usually get wrecked rather than explode so it's reasonably good news for me.

Well thats it. They have to roll a 4 with melta (+1 open topped, 2+ ap2), or 5 still with a lascannon to explode it. (+1 open topped, 1+ ap2). And if you decide to purchase the wargear to give the trasnports 5+ inv save or use the 4+ inv save on the harle transports, its still a good chance you will get them there.

1. Buy a Khymaera for 10pts and put it in bsb with your knight, now if your opponent wants to fire a blast at you they risk killing the Khymaera and activating a soulburst on the knight. As a beast it can keep up.
2. Always use 3 units like jetbikes or castled Reapers in 7" triangles then if one unit dies, the other two get to soulburst.

Wraithblades mount in a raider with another carrying banchees. Have the banchees assault first but then follow up with the blades. So 6 t 6 with rage an w4

Last weekend had a guy at a local event that was using just a bare minimum amount of CWE trying to abuse the Soulburst effect.

I think it was:
Farseer on a jetbike.
Two units of 3 jetbikes
Wraithknight (two guns)

The rest of his army was some imperials in tanks drop pods, one with ignore cover Grav, the other with melta guys inside.

First game highlight: His Farseer periled on casting the twin linked effect on his Wraithknight, the farseer then died, triggering his Wraithknight to shoot in the psychic phase, then again in the normal shooting phase.

that's the object. while you can't start out in them you can still get in raiders turn 1. it's a bit extra on your part but it gets the wraiths or banchees where they need to be

I'm trying that on the weekend, taking a wraith host against a KDK army that always has big stuff so I'm using a wraith host with cannons and sythes coming in with wwp and axe-blades jumping into a raider. Hopefully get the Yncarne in amongst them to give the FnP. Knight will have suncannon, WL is basic loadout to save points. Also have an exarch CH for the inevitable Helldrake.

Toying with running some incubi in a raider then flying a banshee mask/wings autarch to make the charge first and stop the overwatch.

You can still buy a raider and idk dire avengers or whatever. And turn one use the dire avengers movement to jump inside the raider and still use it.

You also don't loose any movement on the transports. You just have to bre prepared in case you dont get first turn and wither that fire while you get into the transports.

Well my Yncare sucked and died in two turns after killing a CL and that's it, but the wraithguard and Wraithord were aces. The lord HoW the last HP from a Rhino then went into another squad, killing them in two rounds. One Archon with just CCW and Pistol killed 5 marines. The wraithblades killed some bikes but got held up and whittled down by bezerkers.  Was losing early on Obj's but took the game big time by turn 5.
