guy old as necrons seeks necron advice
« on: October 20, 2016, 12:27:10 AM »
Hi I last gamed in the early 90's making me about same age as actual necrons. getting back into it after 20 years in the army. Have specific tastes in that I'd like a vanilla 2-3 unit type army. less painting, less to remember, I don't like special characters or vehicles, and don't mind losing a lot. I like the look of the necrons, just wondering how basic could I go and still enjoy a few wins? Is it possible just to march forward with a couple types of 'black robot with green guns' or will I need to invest in all the flying mountains, vehicles and special leader fluff to get any result. I really hate the fluff lol. Thanks for any reply and please be quick I may be dead soon.

Build a basic Decurion, then add the Auxiliaries that you like/have points for.

Take a peek at some of the lists in this section, see if any of them are the style you like, or mix/match different lists.

Couple of questions to help narrow it down:

What are the point levels you want to play in?
What are any possible armies you are playing against, or if you want to build an "all comers" list?
