Id love to hear how that performed?

Im just comeing back into 40k have the new boxset really up for gameing and trying to deside to go for this smaller scale stuff or go ham and get all the index books first.

I love haveing all the armies and thought maby this would push me to get more diffrent forces and spend more time modeling and such. What I really wanna know is dose this smaller game play well? and is it somewat balanced.

Looks like a intresting list I've been planing on picking up shadow at arm but not totally sure if I should to play armies I wouldent normally give a go from exsperiance how did you find chaos in this game I know in 7th they struggled do they fair better in this and do they do ok in combat too? Either way I like the list it looks to have a good model count though being more elite I amagin can be harder!

im glad to see someone looking to go for something fun but still competitive i agree rinos are best as a starting point grav may be a good choice given you can move and shoot with it as a heavy weapon while reduced range and shots it gives you flexibility make sure if your gonna be running those bad boys around may be worth taking.

as for avoiding bikes while not optimal the rules give you alot to work with i feel dreads are very novel with these rules and with the number of attacks a in and out of assult could be highly effective if you do this though either you want a couple to run up or a drop pod to deliver them.

land speder storms are also great scouts being able to run into combat then jump out of it and let your drop some more of the hevy fire from the speeder on the same target 2 times in a row should you want to and the combat dose not go your way.

thats my few points on the matter hope it helps.

interesting use of tacs as i see it there your genralists being able to either go min max with them is handy when their 10 man and split the resoreses to do different jobs even better if you go outflank. i like 10 man squads with a power fist its nice in cover and great punch if you need it much like the use you get from orks with power claw.

that is one powerful list have you play tested it ageist other lists what kind of impact did it have and how can you carry it all it sounds like a emmence number of miniatures ?

what are you hoping to use the grave as counter too?

Forgeworld do a set of gravitation guns that might make a good proxy but grave guns id say offer you the most power.

Love the list but wraith knights well ruin your day if you can't get in a tarpit the unit. However a little more grav would probly deal with that. Love the list and theam great to see it when I play sm and guard!!
