seeking for advice once more
« on: January 21, 2015, 08:09:01 AM »
i posted a question some time ago on some painting tips for a scheme.
and well i sort of want to go with an other one  ::)

so i need your help again on how i could paint this.
and  what for paints to use.
for the blue/turquoise i got some ideas already from the tutorial from strikingscorpion82
bud i have no idea how to paint the grey like that and what gw colours i should use.
and the main problem i think is what primer to use?? i got the standard black one from GW
but maybe i should use a grey one? or a dark grey or maybe even white?? and then from what brand? and so on.
what would you reccomend?

the troops wil be mostly like the guardians on that bike. but my vehicles wil be more like the bike.
hope you guys can help me out.

oh yea i don't use airbrush just brushes.

Prime the model white since you are going with light bright colors so you don't have to use a ridiculous amount of layers

Try this on a test model:

1. White undercoat (you can use bright grey but i have just white spray home)
2. Cover all white part with celestra grey
3. Nuil oil wash over grey
4. Again celestra grey but leave black in Recesseres
5. Over celestra grey apply mix of white and celestra grey (2 part of white and 1 part of grey)
6. Edge highlight with pure white

Yeah you'll need to prone it white and then build up a grey undercoat and use edge highlighting. Finish with a matte varnish. If you want yours to look exactly like the ones in the picture avoic washes and inks as those models were clearly airbrushed
