Do the Tactical Sergeants have Artificer armor, or are they bare bones? Is your Praetor going to have a some sort of Invuln? (not sure what TDA is). Who is your Master of Signals attached to? Are you content on walking those Terminators up the battlefield?

Need to know how you're planing to play this army, a bit.'s really small on unit numbers.  Mortarion is taking up a little over a fifth of your army in points. The two units of Heavy Support Squads costs you 320 pts (for both those squads), if you make it just one squad as a 10 man, you only spend 285pts.

As far as I'm're only benefit for "The Reaping" that you're using is that your army gets Move Through Cover, and the Heavy Support Squads count as non-compulsory troops choice.

Definitely switch out the regular Terminators for the Grave Wardens.  Same exact pt cost, but they get the ability to overwatch, their gun is overall better than a standard combi-bolter.

Currently finishing up some detail work on an Iron Warriors Predator Anhillator.

Sorry for no one responding to you for this.  Not sure if you still need the info, or you've moved on.  You need the Legion Astartes: Age of Darkness Army List book and the Legion Astartes: Age of Darkness Legions rules. They are two red books.  The red books are basically just rules and nothing else. The black books have a lot of fluff and stuff written into them, and contain a lot of the different playable campaigns plus the rules for different legions and things.  The red books just condenses the rules and stats down into your normal codex.

Along with that you'll still need the 7th Edition Rule book.  A box of Betrayal at Calth is very good or even Burning of Prospero is also pretty good as well.  Both boxes will get you pretty much completely set, with 20 MK IV, 5 Cataphracti, 1 Contemptor, 5 Tartaros, and 20 MK III.

This is pretty much just for fun kind of list.  Using the Onslaught Detachment, and the Hammer of Olympia Rite of War.

Praetor: 100pts, Cataphractii Armor +35pts, Thunder Hammer +20pts, Warsmith +35pts, Cortex Controller +15pts. Total: 205pts

Centurion: 50pts, Master of Signals +45pts, Artificer Armor +10pts, Refractor Field +10pts. Total: 115pts

Mortis Dreadnaught: 125pts, Two Twin-linked Autocannons +10pts. Total: 135pts

Legion Rapier Weapons Battery: (40pts, Quad Launcher +20pts)x2, Shatter Shells +10 pts. Total: 130pts

Domitar-Ferrum Battle Automata: 205pts x3. Total: 615pts

Breacher Siege Squad: 200pts, Power Weapon +10pts. Total: 210pts

Breacher Siege Squad2: 200pts, Power Weapon +10pts, Nuncio-Vox +10pts. Total: 220pts

Dreadnaught Drop Pod: Total: 100pts.

Iron Havoc: 185pts, 5 Marines +125pts, Autocannons Free, Augury Scanner +5pts. Total: 315pts

Legion Basilisk Squad: 140pts x3. Total: 420pts

Leviathan Siege Dreadnaught: 270pts, Volkite Calivers +10pts, Phosphex Discharger 15pts, Storm Cannon +10pts. Total: 305pts.

Predator Squadron: 75pts x2, Lascannon Sponsons 40pts x2. Total: 230pts

Well, I never saw this when it was hot and fresh.  But I just saw it up in the attachments section.  If you were going for a "mechwarrior"look, you succeeded.  It definitely looks like the original (unseen) Marauder from way back when.  I actually thought it was an oversized Marauder when I glanced at it.  Congrats on that.

@Shikatsu: While it's a cool idea, the increased BS has no value in this context.  You're hitting on 6's no matter what, for those Forgefiends.  Increasing BS does not increase your ability to hit Flying units at all, they're always at snap-fire unless you have Skyfire.

So haven't done an update in a very very long time.  Hopefully I can shoot some life into this a bit.  So...big picture dump of two things, both are for my Word Bearers Legion for HH.

First up is A'Sharred Hett, my Daemon Prince.  He's going to be mutable on his "God," so I can move what I want him to be around a bit.  Basic kind of thing.  I tried a new style of skin choice for him, and went with an oil scheme.  So his skin is supposed to resemble a mass of oil, so it looks a bit weird.  Then just painted the armor bits in a Word Bearer stylization.

Next is the primary Heavy Support choice for the Legion, which is the Sicaran Main Battle Tank.  I wanted to really hit home that his is a Word Bearer's tank, so lots of writing and prayers on it.  Some battle damage here and there, it's well worn and used.  A bit of personalization from the tank crew. Some kill markers on the side, and Vae Victus (Woe to the Conquered) written on the barrel.  The name of the tank is Dark Intent.

Ummm just to point out, anything Imperial Fist doesn't belong in Chaos Space Marines, and secondly since this is a Pre Heresy should be in the Warhammer 30,000 section.

At this very moment the issue needs to be addressed.  Do you play solely to win, or to put cool looking models on the field and give praise to Khorne?  CSM can NOT have it's cake and eat it too.  You can either bring a fluffy army, that's all about the funs and lols to be had and hope the dice gods just hate the hell out of your opponent.  Or!  You can TRY to bring a competitive army and try to act the cool kid on the block...till the big boys (Eldar, Tau, Necron) show up and smash all your toys, and walk away.

Right now, Codex: CSM is a bleeding, mangled, bisected mess of a corpse.  GW is trying to fix this corpse by slapping bandaids on it and chanting the line "Bandaids(Supplements) heal everything!" Instead what you get is a bleeding, mangled, bisected mess of a corpse with a few shiny patches of bandaids on it.

As a very devout follower of the "Truth" I am appalled as well by the lack of any regards to the big antagonist of the 41st millenium.  Even Codex: Chaos Daemons is starting to bleed because of it's age.  They are far too single mindedly focused on this idea of supplements, and it's literally getting out of hand.  That being said...I now basically do CSM simply because I don't want to do anyone else, and they're too much fun making models for.

You can play 30k Legions in 40k games too.  They just take a bit of a hit due to pts limit generally.

Very nice, and welcome back!

That is a very sad end to a very awesome and long project.

As of right now, there is very little way to create an Alpha Legion style army.  There just isn't enough infiltration and outflanking ability really.  I mean you could use a little ass ton of cultists, since that is a very fluffy thing for Alpha Legion to do.  But without an analogue to scouts or anything like that, it would be very difficult for it to work.

Best bet, using only 40k models and rules, Astra Militarum with allied Alpha Legion would be your best.

That is until this new codex supplement drops, and we can go from there.

You'll need to pick up the Horus Heresy era relevant book, which should just be the main rules book for the Adeptus Astartes (not the one for the specific Legions' info).
