He is my Warlord, my Great Harlequin but in some cases I use him as the now-exiled eldrad that is hiding in the harlequin ranks!


My 2 sen worth:

1) Dark Reaper squad is a bit too small to be much of a threat in my opinion. They'll die off too easily. 5 in a squad is what works for me.
2) How do you intend to deliver the Wraithblades? Through Webway portal?
3) For the dire avengers, I think it'd be better to arm 2/3 of them with 2 DSCs instead of a diresword. You'd want their ranged capabilities more and you have Asurmen to deal with CC a bit more. If you'd want screening units, more Guardians would be better I think but Dire Avengers with 4++ can be deadly too.
4) The Skyrunner Autarch seem a little out of place. With no escort for him in the form of jetbikes of Shining Spears, I fear that it would be a bit of a point sink. If you'd want him just for the rerolls, him on foot would be more than sufficient.

1) Probably you are right. I am going to try the unit with 4 models because now this is all I have, but I have never tested them again so I will see how they perform.
2) Wraighblades + spiritseer with webway portal yes!
3) I have tested this format and I love it. They have a great shooting ability, they have their 4++  and I won't be very lucky every time to hold the opponent back, that's why I put the diresword on the exarch, in case of many different enemy units. (plus now that I don't play ynnari I can't attack twice with asurmen.... I need some more attacks.)
4) I was thinking that I could use his speed and his lance. I don't know how this will perform. I hope that because he is a character he will survive but.....

We start with 2 fire prisms and a unit of 4 dark reapers field at the corner of my deployment zone and a bonesinger to heal the prisms if needed. These units have to be deployed in a way to prevent any enemy deepstriking unit behind them. Plus I will make use of their range.

In-frond of them I will have 3 units of 7 dire avengers with diresword exarchs and Asurmen to give them 4+ invu. These units are my first line of defense. They can move and shoot with their 18" range, they can overwatch and if anything charge them the direswords and Asurmen will make them regret it.

The Spiders deepstike near the enemy and shoot him, but I want to prevent any enemy unit from charge them sooooooo 10 Wraithblades and the spiritseer deepstriking in front of them with webway portal.

I have to confuse the opponent that's why I will field a unit of 9 striking scorpions with claw exarch and karandras and as a second deepstriking unit at the back of his army. With the re-rolls at charges or the +2" I think that they will keep him busy. Plus I will be ready to attack any sniping or covered unit at the back.

The autarch will give me rerolls and maybe some command points back.

I could field the spiritseer and all heavy support in a spearhead detachment for more command points.

So I think that splitting the army in two fronts and intimidating the opponent with all the deepstriking units will make him ignore the heavy support at the back.

I always wanted to have a great miniature for the badass Troupe Master that leads all the other Troupe Masters! Here is my converted and painted version of him!

consolidation first, then soulburst. It's in tha faq. and yes you soulburst before the opponent chose a unit spending stratagems or anything. you soulburst right after the unit that kills something finishes its attacks.

I did ask them. their answer is in the new faq. You can make the soulburst action after all the models of the unit shoot or attack. soo.....

I have a unit of harlequins and a troupe master in my ynnari detachment. The opponent has a unit of 10 models and charges to both units of mine. He selects as the target of 5 models the troupe master and the harlequin unit for the rest of them. He groups the attacks on the troupe master and kills him. Now I wand to soulburst with the harlequin troop. When this happens? Right after the death of the troupe master or after the resolve of all the attacks of the enemy unit? Additionally if I choose to make the attacks of the harlequins as an soulburst action and kill some of the enemy models that have the harlequins as a target, they lose their attacks or the opponent still has all the attacks that he had when he chose targets? In the same way if I choose to fall back as a soulburst action and manage to get away from the battle, the opponent makes his attacks or not?

Hi guys! I have to report one more battle that happened at the dark dungeons of my local game shop!!! I wanted to test the list against an horde army, with enough dakka dakka to hurt my no armor harlequins. All the other armies have many points in upgrades for better str or ap and these points are an advantage for me because my models can be killed from aaanything so an ork army or an imperial guard army that has 90+ models to overwatch me every turn is a trouble for me.

We started a game at 2000pts, only purge the alien. Imperial guards vs Harlequins.
 I had the same army as above with very small changes. I took out two harlequins and put in the list three death jesters to help me with their leadership game. The opponent had a unit of 50 guards..... 1 unit of 30 guards, 1 unit of 10, 4 sentinels(the walkers, if that's their name) and 8 vehicles(don't know the name of them, but some of them were chimeras, the bask and something like that.) 
I played first and I deployed everything at the open except of my warlord's starweaver that was hidden. My plan was to disembark all harlies as soon as possible to charge all the vehicles and let the starweavers, the jesters and the spiders shoot at the blobs, hoping that their are not going to get killed at the early rounds.

It's the first battle with this army that I am that anxious... I saw so many of my models get killed that I was sure that I was not going to last more that two or three rounds. But the things took an other way. I shot his 50 blob with everything at my first turn and killed many models, but they were 50 of them.... he destroyed one starweaver and the unit with the first jester in it. At the second turn one of the jesters sent away the 10 guards unit and that was all for the jesters. he lost nearly all his vehicles because harlies charged them but at his turm all my units were at the open. I lost a lot of them and two more starweavers. The next round was his last. I charged the now small blobs. Destroyed the vehicles that was still in the game and at his turn he couldn't do anything.  At the end of round 3 my opponent resigned because he was nearly tabled.

I wasn't lucky with the jesters but the first turn str 6 shooting from spiders, the second turn charge with the harlies and the terrain domination is a very good strategy. I love this list and at last harlequins have a decent list!

I use nightspinners every time I play eldar. Three large blasts str9 monofilament it's a very good antivehicle, antihorde, antimonstrous weapon. They have their range and if you put them the invu upgrade they don't need to jink. If the opponent ignore them they will hurt him bad, if he tries to destroy them let him try.... and keep hurt him with your rest of your army. Plus they have the torrent flamers if someone get close to them.

Drop every haywire weapon and every embrace. Put caress to two players per unit and with the rest of the points put more players with caresses. These units are your vehicle hunters. It's a very good list. Try it.

I know that list and I love that list. I tested it in my last tournament and I still have not played the round 4 yet. I nearly table my opponents at round 3. The only way to absorb the overwatch is with bodies. You know that some of them are going to be killed so you are paying their weapons for nothing. keep your troupes simple. The troupe master always with caress and in a unit of six you can pay 2 or 3 more weapons. The other players are the bodyguards of the unit. In addition you could try a full caress list. I don't know why you choose embraces when you can have 3 or 4 caresses in every unit that can destroy anything. Vehicles, deathstars, Imperial knights, Wraithknights, anything.

If you want, check the list from the topic below. Even if you don't want to use spiders you can try some skyweavers instead. I know that my battle reports are bad but you can see how this list operates, knowing that it works and modify to your needs and restrictions

Proxieeeeees!!! I have only three starweavers and two voidweavers. The other three vehicles are proxies. They let me play in the tournament because the other players were curious about my list

Unfortunately I couldn't play the second match of the tournament because my opponent had some health problems and he conceded. I was lucky because he had demons. A lord of change, the unclean one two demon princes, 9 flamers, 33 pink horrors and some exalted flamers. Too many flamers and powers with the template or the blast profile. A very difficult opponent for me. I played the third and last game of the tournament against imperial fists and against the older player of the tournament. Four rhinos, two ventegators, two land speeders, two droppods with dreadknoughts, one droppod with marines with flamers, two flyers and many marines running all over the place. He dropped the game at the start of the third round because he was nearly tabled. The starweavers killed the dreadknoughts and the marines, the harlies and the spiders killed every vehicle on the table. It was a quick match and I won this tournament. I love this list and I want to keep testing it against many different armies. When I first tried the harlies everyone in the shop started mocking me because they underestimated them. Now they got their reputation back after this tournament. At least at my neighborhood shop!!!

The opponent had two dreadknights, two rhinos with purifiers, one storm raven, one land raider and some terminators. It was a quick game. I played first with warp spiders and starweavers killing both dreadknights. In his first turn he was very unlucky. With 19 warp charges he managed to harness only one cleansing flame which did nothing because I rolled successfully every 3+ save on spiders and in his assault  phase he lost one model to overwatch but he didn't manage to roll the charge distance. At the second turn every harlequin unit disembarked and he lost in shooting both his rhinos with their purifiers and every terminator exept his warlord in assault phase. A second cleansing flame and the storm raven did nothing. At the start of the third turn he was tabled. The solitaire killed his warlord, the starweavers snapshot the raven and three harlequin units destroyed the land raider and the game ended. It was a good start for the tournament. He had a  very good army but his bad luck and the number of my units brought the result.
