Vehicles are more life like now, more dynamic.

I'm still 50/50 on wounds vs. hull points.

I think hull points made more sense, but wounds has sped the game up for sure.

THIS: If your farseer is inside the tank, he can't cast any powers because he is technically not on the board.

Kind of surprised we are back to this in 8th.

Makes the only way to play a farseer a jetbike-farseer in most lists.

Unless you are a super defensive foot list, but even that means the farseer wants to hang out at the center of the table so it can move and cover both sides of the board if needed- which is obvious to your opponent.

Not a bad bundle either, and I am a big fan of metal models vs. mass produced resin except for FW stuff.

I like that the game plays faster, units move quicker, more shots in general per unit. Speeds things up in a good way. I do think in balance games should be a bit smaller in size/points.

Iím so so on vehicles now being like everything else. I like how monsterous creatures and some multiwound models work.

I like how GW has been updating and supporting armies.

Considering 8th is a break from previous rules edition I think itís very well done so far- 9th edition will be the full refinement of 8th.

Iím curious in the battleplan for this list- it mirrors almost exactly my Grey Knight list- land raiders, dreads, PAGK and HQ choices.

Less cost or more models, more models I feel like would not work as one would have to offset it with cheaper units- scouts? Regular space marines are still a bit pricey.

Love the retrim on the power armor and the basing. Your Chaos Army looks great, a true how 40K should be played collection.

I can deal with the power fists, since they are still good in close combat and I'm always trying my best to not put my termies up against dedicated assault units or mobs that will over power me, but losing the 2+ save taking it to a 3+ or even a 4+ is hard.

On the Grey Knight side I'm struggling even a bit more with them- armor save vs. cost. It's really messing with my list.

Fellow battle brothers, how are you playing terminators these days?

I used to be able to rely on that 2+ save against most units, and did my best to avoid any units that would force me to take an invul. save in previous editions.

Now in 8th with the AP, and the fact that most armies can throw up AP -1, my termies are effectively working as regular power armored dudes, which is still OK, but not for the points and unit size. Mass AP -1 seems to be everywhere, or is it my local meta spamming out Necrons, Chaos, and Space Marines.

I also feel for generic terminators shooty is working better since they are just good enough in the assault to compete with dedicated assault terminators, and being able to shoot is s huge boon.

Are centurions the new terminator of 8th?

Emperor Protects.

Well, my blog is up and running, and I've organized my past videos from YouTube- keeping the ones that are still relevant, and converting them to audio/podcast. Every day I'm uploading one to my blog: .

I'm also close to having an embedded player that will allow you to select tags or a topic and see play/save all the podcasts.

Once that is done (soon) I feel like at least my stuff is not vulnerable like it was on YouTube- next step? Perhaps bundling them into a mega podcast and putting them up somewhere else?

I'm planning on adding a few Primaris dudes to my Red Templar SM chapter- is there a different feel to painting them since they are a bit bigger? Easier to paint? Not that Space Marines are overly hard to paint.

Discussion: Eldar / Re: Will you use the new bonesinger
« on: October 26, 2017, 09:59:50 PM »
VERY happy to see this model back in play. Games Workshop has done a great job bringing back many of these models. Iím glad I can use it as a Ďsinger and not as a count as farseer. Iím curious about the healing, which will be interesting in a fun list- I canít see the Bonesinger in a stripped down comp list. Will be a nice character to work with my six wraithlords.

Funny how most of the units across all the armies got a boost in the new 8th edition stat changes, but I feel like as a Saim-Hann player jetbikes and vypers were targeted and got made worse armor saves, loss of jink, etc. simply as a knee-jerk reaction because in the last codex they were so over powered and beardy.

They went from so-so in 4th-6th edition, to pumped in 7th, and now worse vs. any incarnation of the game.

I'm hoping that some love comes to the Saim-hann with some HQ choices or unit specific powers that can give us some new tactical twists.

I don' expect the model stats to change.

Bonesinger stats so I can run him proper vs. playing the model as a generic farseer.

Agreed on getting Abby in the list.

Thoughts on the Spawn vs. Heldrake?

I think a Heldrake would work better then the spawn, but where to find the points?

Cultists #'s we don't want to touch- if you are all in you are all in.

An impressive looking mass of models on the table.
