Well you only have six troop slots... I would bring 1command squads 6 sisters of battle squads
3 dominion squads with 4 melta guns and the twin-linked multimelta on the Imolators. I think it would be fun to give the command squads double plasma pistol.... bring two priest and just make the troops basic. You could bring retributors with heavy flamers rending

Recently I have been looking into the idea of running a mastery level 1 inquisitorial pskyer with Divination for the Primaris power to either give a group of Retributors with 4 Heavy bolters or an Exorcist twin-linked. Sadly the first game I tried to do this my opponent made sure to kill them first, but I have not given up on this idea.

Another thing I have been thinking about is Saint Celestine and the lack of Eternal Warrior and the only way I have found to get her Eternal Warrior is to ally in a Librarian. Upgrade him to mastery level 2 and give him a jump pack to help him keep up with her or maybe even a bike and hope you roll Endurance on the Biomancy table. Even if you don't get Endurance there is still Iron Arm and Enfeeble which could make Saint Celestine's and her Seraphims job of winning assaults and burning things with hand flamers and her sword a little easier.

Anyone else used psykers with your Sisters of Battle? If so I would love to read about it.

I always put one in my warband. Its only ten points. i was looking at the Hordes spawning vessel models I have and thinking sisters of silence possibly... close combat psykers combined with some crusaders,priests, and or death cults would be fun.
i like taking Uriah Jacobus in a x20 battle sisters squad with a simulacrum. Cast misfortune
=rending rapid fire bolters with all the cheese of Uriah Jacobus 5++shield of faith and counter attack 12 inch bubble.

Really, I'm rehashing two different ideas above. There are two good directions to go in that I can see.

1) Veterans with forward sentries camping in cover with lascannons. A company command squad to let their orders ignore cover or tank hunt. Synergizes well with terrain bolstered by a techmarine/thunderfire cannon. If you can screen them from assault with marines, all the better.

Example:
111 Company command squad, master of ordnance lascannon, vox, camo.
95 Vet squad, forward sentries, lascannon, vox
95 Vet squad, forward sentries, lascannon, vox
(301 points)

2) Hordes of cheap infantry to bubble wrap whatever needs protecting. Synergizes well with any ATSKNF independent character, and nothing benefits from prescience (and if you're fortunate, misfortune) as much as a blob of 50 conscripts.

30 Platoon command squad (hides, uses orders)
60 Infantry squad, autocannon
60 Infantry squad, autocannon
150 Conscripts (50)
(300 points)

I've been doing more of the latter than the former. It takes quite a while for any opponent to chew through 73 bodies. Drawback: this takes a while to build.
you could even go both.
Drop a few conscripts and combine squad the infantry. Take 30 infantry,30 conscripts and put the autocannon in a heavy weapons squad.
I like to leave enough space when i bubble rap for a enemy deep strike. Sometimes it pays off to bait them if the terrain is right.

Ratlings can give you outflank and confer it to the whole squadron and could be a good strategy. Airborn hobbits for the win!
Don't be afraid to check out Death from the Skies. The  fighter ace upgrade is a good way to add some tactics to normal games.
making all your dudes fearless
giving extra armor
or getting to come on from ongoing reserves from any table edge.
don't take the lascannon if you want lascannons go vendettas.

Three Ogryn and a commissar in a Taurox is fun! its like what fritz does with his Khorn bazerkers in a rhino transport. it may even be worth going bullgryns with power mauls.

Hi, 

I'm looking for some ideas on what to choose when building a Cadian AM army probable closer to 500 points for now, but with ideas to bring it up to 1000 points.  My venue normally plays 1000 -2000 point games and this unit is going to be allied with the favorite faction which is Dark Angels.  This will also be my first attempt as building an ally faction and I have never collected or played any faction besides my Dark Angels. 

I am planning to make this the 202nd Cadian unit which I liked from the Xbox360 Space Marine game. I'm even looking for a female model to represent Lt. Mira from the video game to be my unit commander.  So any ideas where I can find a female model to be her would be greatly appreciated.

My ideas so far is a Company Command Squad and adding an Astropath Psyker to it as my HQ.  Then 2 Veteran Squads as my two troop choices.  So far that is roughly 250 points I think. 

Besides that I don't really have an idea for the rest of the army or what weapons are best for them.  Are Vox-casters any good?  What about a medic?

If I can use those 3 units can I add a Heavy Weapon Squad to them also?  I know Missile Launchers and Lascannons are good from using them before, but what about grenade launchers, mortars.  Are those any good?

While I'm trying to keep the unit simple, what vehicles are the best for this size unit?

I would start out buy buying the 4 five man box sets of guardsmen.
they look good and are snap fit.
with the way psychic powers work now the more psychic dice the better.
Dark angels have really good powers.
The most fun i have had with my guard has been using my infantry and conscripts in 20 man squads.
Using all las-rifles and giving them orders is the way to go.
I think you should plan your army the way you intend to play it at 2000 points.
thats why I made them allies. A M can be like opening pandoras box ;) hope is at the bottom
Bodies first, then build around that after you get a feel for your style.
then more bodies.

For female models i like warrior women from the last chancers

It was a close game but i lost to the blood angels 6 to 8. I made a few mistakes and forgot to use my priest in the conclave squad. The great thing about it was the 20 sisters squad has total board control. I move them up to the center of the board. Jacobus is really cool.

I honestly believe you get better dice rolls if you honor the spirit of the game. No weapon is a substatute for zeal.
Ork philosophers have addressed this and not even the Adaptus Mechanicus deny it!

I don't really wanna say she killed Kharn because it seems like Kharn would be a little better than that. But yes, on the table I was able to kill kharn with her and her command squad.

So far it doesn't have to terribly much in it, but it will possibly have a Canoness picture in a day or so. Sadly I am more busy today than I want to be so I can't work on her till later.
Kharn will not kill girls and he probably  just played dead to get her to stop talking...
