180

Haemonculus Coven (Scalpel Squadron) - 230
5 Wracks
Venom
Splinter Cannon
115

5 Wracks
Venom
Splinter Cannon
115

Wracks in Venoms deep strike turn one onto available objectives (or where ever is safest). Wracks hold backfield making the most of the Splinter Cannon 36 inch range (late game disembark and let Venoms move up to support the Cast of Players with their -Ld bubbles). The Kabalite Warriors move to midfield and harass anything they can get near (Ideally at 12 inches for 24 Twin-Linked Poison (4+)) (then drop back late game). Archon joins Cast of Players without Mask of Secrets. Both Shadowseers take Telepathy and Fantasmancy Primaris (use veil of tears to get them up the board and Psychic Shriek when they find something they want gone).

Any suggestions would be great!

1000pts for a list like this is tricky since it requires you to sacrifice some things to pull off the strategy (for example, this list has 0 ways to address vehicles).

Here are some suggestions; however, the largest constraint is that something will need to be dropped in order to make room to make things better.  Because of such, I'll have 2 sets of options.

Option 1: Drop to only 1 Cast of Players
If you drop to a single Cast of Players it frees you up to do a few adjustments elsewhere with the 248pts that it currently uses.  Suggestions if you go this route.

- Change Scalpel Squadron to a Scarlet Epicureans formation (Give the Wracks Venoms otherwise no other upgrades).
- Give the Archon a Blaster
- Drop the Splinter Cannon from the warriors, grab a Blaster instead. - Add Sybarite with a Haywire grenade as well.
- Drop the Splinter Racks from the Warriors' Raider - add Dark Lance
- Add an empty, Fast Attack Raider w/ Dark Lance.

The Scarlet Epicureans formation will provide you a few more options than the Scalpel Squadron.  1) It keeps Wracks in Venoms for grabbing objectives and anti-infantry support.  2) It gives you a Cronos to camp a back field objective.  3) It gives you a haemoculus that extends the formation's freakish spectacle effectiveness by joining a unit.

The empty raider is the the Cast of Players formation joined by the Haemoculus and Archon.  This gives you a -5LD bubble between the mask, armour, and Freakish Spectacle which makes the one shadowseer more effective.

The dark lances and blasters are there to help support the anti-tank front so the poison shots can hit their targets.

Option 2: Drop the Scalpel Squadron
By keeping 2 Casts of Players, we need to free up points in other ways - dropping the Scalpel Squadron will help us here.

- Change Allied Detachment to a CAD
- Change Warrior unit to 2 Squads of 5 in Venoms (1 blaster in each)
- Archon with Blaster
- 2 Empty, Fast Attack Raiders with Dark Lances(for the Casts of Players)
- Increase Troupe to fill out points

This reduces your overall leadership affect by 1; however, you gain redundancy in your cast of players.  Still has a lot of anti-infantry via the venoms and the anti-tank is in the dark lances and blasters.  It also simplifies how many books you need to use/look through.

There's pros and cons to both lists but I think both are viable since it gives your troupe some protection and speed via the raiders and addresses the anti-vehicle issue.
