Gluing Forgeworld models
« on: August 21, 2013, 09:17:49 AM »
I've tried plastic glue, model masters glue (the black bottle with the long metal applicator) and even elmers to glue them to their bases...

What do you guys use to glue them?  I've spent a lot of time reposing my models and converting them, I just hate to see them falling apart.

Are your models not gluing properly, or is it taking too long for them to glue?

If it is taking too long, glue accelerator can be really handy when super glue is taking a long time to bond.

Hope this helps

Super glue for me too. Often with pins, but obviously that depends on the model and the pose.

Superglue is fine. Plastic Glue is only for plastic, does not work on resin.

Magnets!... and superglue.

I tend to go a bit overboard with magnets on some of my FW models making them into action figures rather than just figures. But Superglue works just fine. You may want to make sure you are washing them first though. The release agent they put on the molds will effect your glue as well as how well your paint sticks to the model.

Warm water and dish soap should work just fine. Scrub them with a toothbrush too.
