I have found from playing Orks that slugga boyz are generally more effective than shoota boyz as dakka isn't exactly the Orks' strong point, with the exception of Lootas and flash gitz. As for the big mek, you could give him a kustom or mega force field to give your Orks an invulnerable save. Also what theme were you planning for this army? Did you want mass hordes running up the table? Or have a super fast list with lots of transports and bikes? Or perhaps a mechanised army with lots of Gorkanauts, Morkanauts, Stompas and Deff dreads? You could have a variety of options if you wanted too, so maybe transports backed by dreads.

Thanks for the comment I didn't really have a theme as I was new to orks I was thinking of just units of around 20 boys footslogging. Now im thinking of putting them all in trukks and getting a second battle wagon to either get more nobz, maybe mega nobz and to put them in the second battle wagon or put the sqaud of slugga boys in it so I can send two battle wagons at the opponent while boys grab objectives and have lootas as support and gretchin to sit on back objective and I have some bikes might get more so I have a fast unit. I don't have another list wrote out but those are the things I was thinking of adding. what do you think? what kinda ork list would you usually play?

I personally play lots of fast units backed by strong ones, exactly what you were considering getting. If you were planning on making quite a fast list, then you could try getting some old deffkoptas from ebay as they are really fast and are quite effective and flexible, but they are expensive so that is why if you are getting them, you are better off on ebay.

You could have bikes and deffkoptas as an escort unit for your transports and have them take out anything that could harm them. If you wanted more support fire from the back, you could try flashgitz or killa kanz or mek gunz. Also, out of more nobz or meganobz, I would go for the meganobz.

Yes I think I'll get mega nobz and more bikes and look into getting deffkoptas what do you think about putting eavy armour on the boyz in trukks?

the 'eavy armour is a bit expensive, but if the trukk does explode then they will probably survive the explosion, whereas normally most of them die. Really, it's down to personal preference, do you want to make your boyz more survivable, or do you want more points to spend on something else, like more boyz?

Yea I'm not sure I think I'll run them with eavy armour for now until I get more boyz. I ment to ask what do you think of the gorkanot/morkanout do you think there worth the 250 odd points they cost I'm thinking of getting one wayy down the line but on paper they dont look very impressive

I'm not really sure how good the Gorkanauts and Morkanauts are because I have never tested their rules on the tabletop, but they do look very cool.
