« on: February 27, 2017, 12:40:31 PM »
Greetings everyone, through some luck i managed third in an RTT with a harlequin army. The theme i'm going for here is harlequins as the primary force. 1647. what would you change to scale up to 1850?

Here is the list

Masque

3 troupes

2 with 6 players 4 caress and a troupe master with caress

1 with 4 players and troupe master all with caress

3 shadowseers ML2 one with mask

inriams spectre

starweaver

blades of fate

voidweaver

Eldar CAD

farseer on bike with spear

spiritseer Faolchus wing

3x3 windriders with catapults

2 reapers 1 exarch all with starshot missiles

Impressive. Most lists in the net I see use starweavers but I just dislike them (don't know why- just do) How well did veil of tears work? Did the troupes reliably make it into combat? How important were the objective secured windrider squads?

At 1850 you can squeeze in a double masque detachment MSU style. Alternatively, adding more CWE probably couldn't hurt. Maybe making some of the bikes shuriken cannons or scatter lasers?

Veil does work well in combination with rising creacendo. The obsec made a huge difference but most importantly it was fast. Going second seemed to be best for me. I'm at cagbash this weekend for an 1850 tourney. We will see if I can make top 10 this time. More to follow......

So I managed 4th place at cagbash GT of 28. 4 wins 1 loss. Added in a pair of corsair characters for tanking saves. Some close games but the loss was an awful matchup. An entirely flying metal box list. Valkarye vendetta and storm ravens. Had some pretty fun matchups too. Nothing really easy for quins to take down.

The change I made was drop the reapers. Added a corsair cad with a prince and void dreamer ml3. Both with shadow fields. This means 4 bike squads and I upgraded one of them to have scatter lasers. So 3x3 catapult 1x3 scatter lasers

Aren't you getting shoot to pieces when you go second?

How are you fitting in Inriam's Spectre and the blades of fate, can't they only be swapped into the formations?

Hiding behind los blocking terrain is how I'm not getting killed turn 1. In rams spectre can replace any death jester in any detachment or formation where a jester exists
