Yeah, according to the eavy metal paint job, it seems cypher has repainted his armour, although that sort of makes sense, because according to some of the fluff he actually isn't really a heretic, he just left the dark angels, and the sword across the model's back is some famous sword, I can't remember which, and it's broken, and he's trying to return it to the emperor or something like that. So probably dark angels models would be fluffier

I think I heard somewhere that a techmarine that is inside the vehicle can repair it, so if that's true, you could put one of them in, and have a flier that repairs itself.

For a weapons choice, I always use a twin-linked assault cannon, and a twin-linked multi-melta, sometimes with hurricane bolters

I wouldn't worry about scouts or homing beacons, drop pods have that awesome inertial guidance system that makes em stop just shy of a piece of terrain or a model.

Oh, I forgot about that. I'll have to remember that in the next game I play.

I have found scout bikers very useful with drop pods. They usually get shot to death very soon, but as long as you have deep striked everything you want by then, it's not much of a loss, just don't expend lots of points on wargear that won't be used. The exception is cluster mines, which are fantastic. Not so much for the actual damage they can cause, but for the fear they instill in your opponent. Any piece of terrain could contain them, and they don't know which. They are great if your opponent has Jump-shoot-jump units, as they are best employed in terrain.  Because of the risk of explosion, your opponent won't want to do this. For the points cost, they are great!!

Maybe use the school league FOC: minimum 1 HQ, 2 Troops, up to 1 Elites, up to 1 Heavy Support OR 1 Fast Attack, and any spare points may be spent on HQ and Troops

I use the GW chaos black to undercoat almost everything, and then paint over it. 3 years into the hobby and I only got through 2 cans of it. it was a bit annoying having to pay 10 for a can, so I bought a load of 1 old GW spray cans that I found at the Steam Gathering in Flookborough (England). It was a bit worrying that they were covered in cancer warnings though  :-\

The only problem with Tangerine Marines would be that rust is also generally orange, and it would kind of blend in.

I have boxes with little compartments, and I have one for each army, sorted into: Arms (and also weapons not attached to arms), Heads, Torsoes and Legs (i don't have many so they share a compartment), Vehicle Weapons, Other Vehicle Bitz, Other Bitz, and one big compartment for bitz that won't physically fit into the other compartments (ie. banners, Chimera dozer blades, Dreadnought fronts)

Except for my Orks, Eldar and 'nids, which are in the plastic boxes you get from a chinese take away, because I don't really use the Orks and Eldar bitz, and I haven't got many, and because there's no way a Trygon tail is going in a 3cm x 5cm compartment.

Army: Tau. Even before the new codex. Every time I play against Megasharpie100's tau, I lose. Every time. Except once. Back when he only had one Hammerhead, and I charged it with a Defiler

Unit: Canoptek Wraiths, the cockatrice's of 40k, everything they set eyes on seems to just die.

IC: Flying Deamon Prince, it flies around crapping on vector striking everything, with my army franticly shooting every weapon at it uselessly.

I'd keep Mephiston's codex powers, as they make him pretty awesome. With the speeders, as they have low armour it's best to distract enemy fire onto your tougher vehicles: in your case, the razorbacks, so as soon as their assault marines reach an objective, ditch them there and make the tanks as annoying to the enemy as possible (hopefully you will take something out), then, as he fires on your razorbacks, zoom the speeders around and start taking out his vehicles. I would put them in individual squads, so that they can zoom around individually, taking out different targets. Also, as Bushleague and TBBA said, bikes are cheaper and tougher, it's pretty much the same, except they aren't skimmers.

@bushleague: only half of the drop pods get to come in on the first turn, so if the ASM had them, something would have to wait behind, and they wouldn't be able to get anywhere fast.
