Title: Saim Hann Style Ravenwing
Post by: luthhero on March 08, 2017, 07:55:30 PM
So I got the chance to watch Fritz's video today about what he called the Swing Wing. It was basically leveraging normal units nothing super splashy and using his typical saim Hann army to utilize his superior speed to contest/claim objectives.

I say all this to think about using the Ravenwing in the same manner. While we don't have the same speed we are more durable all around. I don't have a list just yet but wanted to start the discussion and generate some ideas. We have excellent models for this strategy (including the Heavy Landspeeder vengeance) and I think it could be devestating.

Agreed this is something I have toyed around with in my mind for a bit now. Personally I think having characters such as Sammael or a bike mounted Interrorgator Chaplain/Librarian helps to make a force like this all the better. For me I would have as many black knight squads as I could get, a command squad and a dark shroud or two for support. then maybe the Flyer formation for fun or a support squadron to help if I know my opponent is going to charge me. I would only use an attack squad to kill tanks personally 2 attack bikes with MMs and a landspeeder with 2 MM is scary. Alternatively I would give my squads metla bombs.
