Chaos Furies...
« on: December 29, 2014, 07:58:00 PM »
OK, I read back in the depths of this forum an article about Chaos Furies and which Mark of Chaos was most effective, but I want to ask the broader question: "What is the best use of Chaos Furies?" I see them as being a great unit for grabbing objectives on the outer fringes of the battlefield...being a fast/cheap unit that is an extremely undesirable target...yes? My thoughts (after watching Victor's video...which is a great starting point if you've not yet watched it) are that these demons seem to be most effective with the Mark of Tzeentch in a unit of around 12-15. I see using them to break off from the main body of my army, skirt up the outer flank and try and claim objectives in no man's land. Is this a viable strategy, or have I missed a very obvious use for them? The biggest obstacle with these demons seems to be their leadership of 2...has anyone run these demons, and if so would you be willing to share your thoughts or tactics on how to best use them effectively? Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Don't bother, one round of bolter fire and they're off. Leadership 2 means they won't regroup and so they're gone. You could try to skirt around threat bubbles, but you might as well just spend the points on something more solid. Don't upgrade them if you do take them thoigj, if you wan't a cheap/fast objectibe grabber then keep it cheap! Rant over.o_O
