Hello and welcome!

I am starting AM ( kinda ... long story) but I can give you the advice and what I have seen be affective.

Punishers really shine with Pask at the helm.( HQ)
Vanquishers are great but need a bs 4 to be really effective so take those as command tanks ( HQ)
The good old battle tank. What can I say... S8 AP3 large blast! A Great Tank!

Hope that helps some!

I would take them the same. Like three demolishers or three battle tanks. Also I have not played them my self but from what I have seen 3 hell hounds are very nice too. If there are flyers in your local meta then hydras with camo nets are a must.

Anybody thought  about running an Exterminator with plasma sponsons as an allround tank? It brings the goodies of both worlds, reliable S7 shooting on the main gun and same strength better AP with the sponsons, so it can fight MCs, bikes, other stuff.

pask and his squadron can re-roll gets hot when firing plasma cannons because of preferred enemy. I like to run pask in an executioner and a regular russ as his squadron mate. that will run you 375 points 150+155+70.
  • pask's higher ballistic skill keeps the small blast templates on mark
  • good mix of range and killing power
  • the ability to insta kill t4 from the russ while being able to bypass terminator armor with pask
  • plasma at strength 7 wounds on a 2+ models that are t5 and below (battle cannon t6 and below) and you get to re-roll the 1s with preferred enemy, so you pretty much all of your hits will be wounds
  • pask and the other tank are a squadron always remember to allocate all hits to the tank closest to the person shooting at you (squadron mate should be a few inches ahead to absorb enemy fire
  • deepstriking terminators (grey knights) can get slapped with a whole ton of plasma shots if they get too close (good luck passing 10-15 5++ saves on your termies ;) )

the punisher set up for pask can be good too but i personally have seen better results using plasma
HOWEVER you can hurt yourself using plasma and pask will be your warlord so take that risk into consideration (i like to live on the wild side)

Doesn't the plasma cannon on the executioner have to make a gets hot test before you even fire it?
Don't try making a unit unkillable. its a waste of time and the dice gods laugh at you for wasting your time. Dedicate a unit to a job and make sure it does it til it's either dead or running.

Yes Dirty Harry, but with pask you get to reroll those. Thanks prefered enemy.

I like to take pask in a exterminator with lascannon and multi-melta sponson, his team mate is an executionner with plasma sponsons. Why wasting pask good balistic skill on blast, when his special rule applies to the whole unit. After, you just keep on sending the same order every turn. The one that allows the tank commander to shoot at a different target. Pask goes his way blasting stuff and supporting infantry, sentinels and hellhound and the executionner targets the elite stuff. It worked pretty well with me.
