not to digress too much- Matt i hear you but i think healthy space marines = healthy 40k. they are the flagship and i think they are getting alot of love.

I have to wonder though, seems like alot of these armies are getting anti flyer instead of flyers. Does that make my Crimson Hunter that much less useful with every 'dex that comes out? :(

I agree with fritz, the command squad looks so amazing when built and painted on the battlefield, would be nice if they were actually useful. (they are useful currently on bikes)

There pictures all over the Inet of the new Centurians and one of anti-aircraft vechicles.  I hope we can pose the big guys in a more action orientation, since the poses I see are very static in these initial pictures.

I don't understand why GW doesn't release more pictures of the upcomming models to raise interest.  Wouldn't that be to their benefit?

Maybe it is just because they get leaked anyway and this slow trickle is more interesting than an announce all at once, if they showed us all the models people may loose interest as the excitement would fade for some, not all, but if even one person looses interest it costs GW money, plus some people will impulse buy stuff they would not normally buy, like myself with the limited edition codexes.

Overall it is easier and better for GW to just let this happen.

Slow leaks build anticipation. Thats just good marketing there.

I'm kind of excited to check out the Imperial Fists book.

The thing that has me really thinking are the grav weapons. How much of an impact are they going to have? Are these going to be specials or will a squad be able to take these in large numbers? What's the strength on these?

I think the AP of grav weapons will be important. If they are AP 2 or 3 then they will be very good

Don't try making a unit unkillable. its a waste of time and the dice gods laugh at you for wasting your time. Dedicate a unit to a job and make sure it does it til it's either dead or running.

Harry, you beat me to the post!

Space Marines are looking VERY interesting, and perhaps will swing the balance of the game back to SM from xenos?
Though my men may sleep, and my ships rest at anchor, my foes know full well that big guns never tire...

If these rumors are true the Ultramarine tactical squad may have just become one of the most powerful troop choices in the game. Re-rolls for shooting? Also if everything else gets to re-roll 1's Ultramarine termies, the new centurians, Marneus and anything in terminator armor becomes nigh unstoppable in a standard assault. They are still as vulnerable as ever to high strength and low AP though. Even the grav weapons will be hard to use against them if they still get their save.

Volume of fire against Ultramarines may have just become far less useful.

Well it looks like I may have to start an Imperial Fists army.
They certainly appear to be going out of their way to make codex marines different. I'm hoping units like Centurions don't appear in the the other SM codexes like Space Wolves, it gives them something cool and unique.

I didn't think I'd be interested in codex marines, but this looks fantastic. I'm actually quite happy now that my Templars are in this codex.

Next year I was planning on starting a Knights of Gryphonne army so have been watching the rumors on the new codex coming out. I am wondering with the chapter tactics whether this will be a disadvantage to chapters with unknown founding. I suppose it may be possible to just adopt a founding chapter for the sake of the rules?

This actually looks good for templars as an old player of them I approve of the emperors champ getting AP2 and his own ability, certainly better rules wise than the current templar book, shame about no sword bretherern though.

I am now so stoked for this release.

Your writing style seems very strange and also lacks coherency at times.
