Please buff the whirlwind...give it AA (oh wait we got a new tank for it)...
Grav weapons: heck plasma does it already... yes no overheat but... either 3 shots or ill just plasma till the end of the day...
Ultramarines tactics: woooot O_O
Centurion: /puke to your ugly legs
Black Templars: gots me a reason to buy the emperor champion mini after all...
No UBERKNIGHTTHING: :( --- you GW, eldar got uber knight, tyranids will have ubermonster i want my little mini titant like in warmachine&hordes with the colossals! :(
Point cost drop: haleluja about time, dark angel models got 3 times our special rules and cost less. Horay for BT too, now they got a competitive rhino to use.
New tanks: Gots me stormraven who cares of you? But ok ok, ill buy the model cos im a fanboy
New sternguards: man i got 35 sternguards....please Gw stop making me buy awesome models...
Honor Guard: need strong buff or gtfo from my army again.

Your writing style seems very strange and also lacks coherency at times.

The changes do seem very interesting. Im not sure if the entire ultramarines army may reroll ones, as that would seem kind of op with terminators but whatever...

from faeit 212 "Tactical - The Tactical detachment re-rolls ones, unless they're Tactical Marines, in which case they re-roll all failed To Hit rolls in the Shooting Phase." Ultramarines are going to be the best plasma spammers. Gets hot? Siikkkeee reroll. Roll a 1 on your armor save? Reroll it. So for a tactical space marine with a plasma gun to kill himself you need to roll a 1 followed by a 1, followed by a 2 or lower. 1 followed by a 1 = 1/36 of plasma getting hot on any ultramarine. Followed by a 2 or lower makes it so killing your space marine with plasma is going to be like 1 in 108 ish.....

I don't see the marines dropping 2 points being a huge deal, the more recent marines ;like chaos and Dark angels seem to be cheaper, their marines are 13 points basic, in the current SM book they average at 17 points each and so will drop to 15 points.

There are more complete notes over at Nafka:
http://natfka.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/massive-space-marine-codex-info.html

Which makes a bit more sense, White Scars seemed pretty poor written here (getting a bike squad as troops is available to anyone who's boss is on a bike) but on Nafka its:

+1 to Jink saves
Autopass Dangerous Terrain tests
+1 to Hammer Of Wrath attacks
All White Scars units gain the Hit & Run USR, except for Terminators and Centurions.

Which is suddenly way better.

I'm hoping I'm missing something or it's not complete though. Imperial Fists don't seem to be as good as UM's (one of their options anyway) but the other chapters all seem good.

Bit annoyed that after defending the new psychic rules for Farseers and Eldrad (and Ahriman) they seem to have given all the best toys to Tigurius.

Dark Angels don't have Sergeants with Ld9 auto-included.
10 men DA with the works vs 10 men CM with the works breaks even.

And dropping 2 points is small model wise, but look at it this way:
On average it's smart to bring 3 Troop Choices at 1500 or more. If you bring 2 Tac Squads and a small Scout Squad that's 50 points.
That's basicly a free Rhino/Drop Pods for one the Squads...

True, I just think it is less of a concern as I do not think it will be any worse than Chaos marines or Dark angles, this was more looking at it from a xenos point of view, not complainng that 2 points is not much.

The point reduction is nice, making vanila marines cost close to what they should when put up against other sm armys (space wolf im looking at your grey hunters)

Nuts and bolts of the codex aside im just looking forwards to using Captain Shrike again, hes had to sit out 6th edition so far but if half these changes go through hes going to a busy man.

If you want to go the extra mile there is an iron hands upgrade set on GW that makes them look awesome, it has a lot fo bionics basically.

For how to paint them

I would start with a black spray coat

then do a normal coat of black on the armour then highlight with dark greys and moving to lighter ones, check the internet for tips on how to do this or post in warmasters painting section.

For the metals I would just dry brush over the black and then hit it with a black or sepia wash,

Then obviously do things like purity seals etc

This is a simple quick idea on how to do it, there are undoubtedly better guids on line for people who can paint a lot better than me.

Will BT be able to purchase a CCW instead of exchanging their bolters for one so the can benefit from the Imperial Fists chapter tactics?
